Jovon Dangerfield
Jovon Dangerfield is known for wearing multiple hats. Among his roles, he is a community consultant, servant, administrator, and organizer. Jovon has been entertaining and speaking publicly at local and national high schools, colleges, churches, and community events for the past 8 years, while sharing his message with at-risk youth and incarcerated individuals. As an addiction specialist, Jovon has been on the front lines of the opioid crisis. He is aware of the challenges and obstacles that his community faces and advocates for community resources and solutions to homelessness. Jovon has been the leader of initiatives like the Baker Street initiative, which serves a population that is unable to afford food, and Kams Kloset, which provides free clothing to teens in need for school.
His musical expertise began with his work as a professional pianist, and now includes producing music and performing locally and throughout the country as Kingdom Activist. Jovon is an organizer and board member at the top level for the Bakersfield Music Awards. He collaborates with the local Guitar Center to offer piano lessons to young people who are interested in music. Jovon finds pleasure in dedicating himself to humanitarian projects and taking part in anti-racism campaigns. His passion for media results in his frequent visits to local news networks. He utilizes music, his voice, and his platform to condemn gang violence while also attempting to find plausible solutions and alternatives. While hosting, Jovon aims to keep the narrative of hope, inspiration, and self-reflection going by using humor, awareness, and clarity.
